Since this order will be placed at the end of November, Thanksgiving books will not come before Thanksgiving. This is a great time to order winter/Christmas books as gifts for your kiddos! Every purchase earns us points to get free books for our classroom library. Thanks for your support!
Please make sure that you send your student to school with a winter coat. We go outside every day if it is 20 degrees or warmer. Students are only allowed to go in the snow if they are wearing winter boots. Please label each item of clothing.

This week we learned:
Phonics: We learned the reviewed the letter Ff and learned the letters Zz and Ww. We also reviewed all of the letters and sounds we have learned so far.
Reading: We learned how to retell important details of the book “Rules are Cool” as well as the relationship between illustrations. We used the text and illustrations to identify new meanings for a familiar word.
Writing: As authors we wrote our own pattern books using sentence starters with pictures to match, and a cover page. Students then got to share their book with a partner.
Math: This week we learned how to write counting patterns using counters to solve a problem. We also took our Topic 3 Assessment.
High Frequency Words: We learned the words “box” "on" and “was”. We practiced reading and writing short a words "man", "am", "at", "that", "hand", and "ran". Words we have learned so far: I, a, am, the, like, eat, in, it, did, into, and, we, see, go, no, so, has, as, is, his, does, box, on, was, man, am, at, that, hand, ran. Continue to practice reading and writing these words at home.
Pictures: For some reason, this site won't let me upload pictures. Here is my Google Photo Album that I add all of my kindergarten pictures to. I will just link this album every week so that you can still see the pictures I have been taking. The Halloween pictures are in this album as well.
