We will have PE with Ms. Woods for specials next week. Have your student wear comfortable shoes that they can run in.
This week was our last week to go to the library. If you have any library books at home, please return them as soon as possible.
We are going to the Star Lab (portable planetarium) next week during our library time.
May 8: Alphabet countdown! Music and Munchies! We will listen to music and munch on our favorite snacks throughout the day.
May 9: Alphabet countdown! Nice Notes Day! We will write nice notes to friends in class.
May 10: Alphabet countdown! Outrageous Outfit Day! Wear an outrageous outfit to school. Example: mismatched clothes or crazy patterns.
May 11: Alphabet countdown! Pajama Day! Wear pajamas to school - no slippers please.
May 12: Alphabet countdown! Question Day! Bring a question to school to share with the class. Example: What is the largest ocean animal? The Atlantic Blue Whale

What we learned this week:
Reading: We read the book “Munching Millie”. We discussed wants and needs and talked about how we can earn an income.
Math: We took our iReady math test this week. We also looked at patterns on a hundreds chart. We practiced counting on from a number other than one.
High Frequency Words: This week we learned the words “to”, “what”, “happy” and “of”. Words we have learned so far: I, a, am, the, like, eat, in, it, did, into, and, we, see, go, no, so, has, as, is, his, does, box, on, was, man, am, at, that, hand, ran, friend, they, he, little, play, men, red, help, end, yes, went, get, way, away, say, day, run, up, under, must, and, you, there, big, with, very, our, out, all, good, no, for, jump, one, girl, are, here, your, have, said, two, love, when, look, me, come, here, away, yellow, blue, to, what, happy, of. Please continue to practice reading and writing these words at home.
