If you did not turn in a decorated Continuation cap, please turn it in on Monday 5/22. We will be practicing wearing our caps next week!
May 22: Watermelon Day- We will do some fun activities with watermelons!
May 23: eXtra recess
May 24: Yellow Day- Wear yellow!
May 25: Zoom into summer! Last day of school!
May 25: Continuation Ceremony- We will start at 9:30 in the gym then go to our classroom after the ceremony to watch a slideshow.

What we learned this week:
Reading: We read the book “Scientists Who Changed the World”. We discussed important scientists and their contributions to science and the world.
Writing: We finished writing and illustrating our research book about pythons!
Math: We continued learning about 2D and 3D shapes and their attributes. Students should be able to identify these shapes:
2D: square, rectangle, triangle, circle, hexagon
3D: cube, cone, cylinder, sphere
High Frequency Words: This week we learned the words “this”, “how”, and “over”. Words we have learned so far: I, a, am, the, like, eat, in, it, did, into, and, we, see, go, no, so, has, as, is, his, does, box, on, was, man, am, at, that, hand, ran, friend, they, he, little, play, men, red, help, end, yes, went, get, way, away, say, day, run, up, under, must, and, you, there, big, with, very, our, out, all, good, no, for, jump, one, girl, are, here, your, have, said, two, love, when, look, me, come, here, away, yellow, blue, to, what, happy, of, this, how, over. Please continue to practice reading and writing these words at home.
