Important Dates & Info/Reminders:
Please fill out this homework survey by March 3rd to let me know if you are interested in having differentiated reading and math homework for your student. If you do not respond to the survey, I will assume that you do not wish to have extra work sent home for your student.
We will have Art with Ms. Bobbi for specials next week.

March 13-17 NO SCHOOL: Spring Break
What we learned this week:
Reading: We wrapped up Unit 6: Stories Have A Message. Students focused on illustrations and explained how they help to understand the text. We will begin Unit 7: Holidays and Celebrations next week.
Writing: We completed our narrative writing unit and will begin opinion writing next week.
Math: We used patterns to help us solve subtraction problems. We also used tools to help us solve subtraction problems. We will review subtraction on Monday and take our Topic 7 math test on Tuesday.
High Frequency Words: This week we learned the words “big”, “with”, and “very”. Words we have learned so far: I, a, am, the, like, eat, in, it, did, into, and, we, see, go, no, so, has, as, is, his, does, box, on, was, man, am, at, that, hand, ran, friend, they, he, little, play, men, red, help, end, yes, went, get, way, away, say, day, run, up, under, must, and, you, there, big, with, very. Please continue to practice reading and writing these words at home.
