March 13-17 NO SCHOOL: Spring Break

Reading: We read a book called “Ly’s Goldfish”. We focused on asking and answering questions about the story. When we ask about important details in different parts of a story, such as who the characters are and where the characters are, we can find out information and remember what we read. Asking questions and finding the answers helps us make something clear that we didn’t understand when we were reading.
Math: We continued our subtraction unit and learned how to write equations to match subtraction story problems.
High Frequency Words: This week we reviewed the words “and”, “you”, and “there”. Words we have learned so far: I, a, am, the, like, eat, in, it, did, into, and, we, see, go, no, so, has, as, is, his, does, box, on, was, man, am, at, that, hand, ran, friend, they, he, little, play, men, red, help, end, yes, went, get, way, away, say, day, run, up, under, must, and, you, there. Please continue to practice reading and writing these words at home.
